DS AETHER CT Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of Ultra Jumbo tube tube containers such as tube trailers, has newly appointed Executive Vice President Sukjoo(Steven) Hwang as Co-CEO through its regular executive reshuffle.

With this appointment, Hwang will lead the company jointly with Chairman and CEO Soohoon Lee, establishing a co-CEO leadership structure.

This personnel change follows the retirement of Executive Vice President Hosun Wee, who will now serve as an advisor, contributing to the group’s and the company’s future strategic direction.

Hwang, the newly appointed Co-CEO, earned his degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine, and is recognized as a global business expert with nearly 19 years of experience in global sales and strategic planning at major Korean electronics and materials companies, including Samsung Electronics America.

Since joining the Duksan(DS) Group in 2015, Hwang has held key leadership positions such as CEO of Duksan SG, Head of Business Strategy at Duksan Neolux, and Head of Sales at Duksan Hi-Metal, playing a pivotal role in driving the group’s global business expansion.

After joining DS AETHER CT in April 2024, Hwang focused on developing the North American and Taiwanese markets, establishing a solid foundation for global growth. 

Under his leadership, the company’s overseas sales more than doubled between 2024 and 2025, and business expansion in North America and Taiwan has accelerated significantly.

The appointment of Hwang as Co-CEO reflects the company’s strategic goal to expand its global presence and strengthen international competitiveness.

As a core affiliate of the group’s hydrogen energy and specialty gas division, DS AETHER CT is leveraging its advanced technology in ultra-high-pressure gas containers to aggressively pursue overseas market opportunities.

A company spokesperson stated,

“In response to rising global demand, we plan to expand our sales share not only in North America and Taiwan but also in Europe, 

while diversifying our business portfolio into aerospace and defense sectors. Under the new leadership, DS AETHER CT’s global expansion is expected to accelerate even further.”
